OUR VISION
Stewardship is the means by which we make the invisible love of God visible.
OUR MISSION
As daughters and sons of Our Lady the Queen of Peace, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others and return them with increase to the Lord.
God reveals His perfect and infinite love for us most visibly in His Son, Jesus Christ. A steward makes God’s love visible by imitating Jesus. As the United States Bishops wrote in their Pastoral Letter, Stewardship is our response to God’s unconditional love for us.
Stewardship is an expression of our discipleship, with the power to change how we understand and live out our lives. We recognize God as the source of life, freedom, all we have and all we are. Our time, talents, and ability to earn an income all are gifts from God. In gratitude for all God has given us, we return a portion of it back to Him, and we invite our parishioners to live this Stewardship way of life, trusting that God continues to provide for their needs. Our parish and Academy continue to be faithful good stewards to God’s message of stewardship. As a parish, we tithe 10% of our income to support other charities and to expand ministries to serve both the parish and the community at large. We recognize that everything comes from God.
To pray “Thy kingdom come” is to ask God for the grace to become men and women for others; people who listen, who bind wounds, who dare to wash each others' feet, responding in love to the mission of Christ and the needs of our dear neighbor. The Kingdom of God is right here, right now, and it unfolds more and more gloriously every time we say "YES" to the call of the Gospel.
Good friends, the Spirit of Christ is calling us to take a step in the direction of the promised land, and stewardship is the compass that helps us to aim our time, talent, and treasure toward the fullness of God's kingdom.
You're invited to explore these pages as part of a prayerful journey of self-discovery in Christ. We are not the same people we were last year. We are constantly being made new. Many small, intentional steps make a big difference in the Kingdom of God. An ancient proverb states that the journey of thousand miles begins with one step. Give God the joy of allowing the Spirit to reveal your next good step!
