Tax-Wise Living and Giving
Five Ways to Remember Queen of Peace Catholic Community
There are many ways to remember Queen of Peace in your estate plan, and you may be surprised to discover how inexpensive most of these are to accomplish. Here are five options to consider:
- Amend an existing insurance policy to add Queen of Peace as an additional beneficiary. Purchase a new policy or change an old policy you no longer need and make Queen of Peace the owner.
- Visit your personnel office and ask to amend your group life insurance policy to add Queen of Peace as one of your beneficiaries. Consider having Queen of Peace as successor beneficiary of your retirement plan.
- Include a bequest for Queen of Peace in your will or trust.
- If you're over 65 and disappointed with the income you are receiving from your long-term stocks or your certificates of deposit, consider a charitable gift annuity. Besides providing attractive tax benefits, this easy-to-accomplish gift will provide lifetime payment to you and a deferred gift to benefit Queen of Peace.
- If you have a taxable estate, let us show you how a charitable remainder trust may benefit both you and Queen of Peace. The tax advantages are significant!
Some of the gift arrangements are revocable and others cannot be changed once
established. Some work better with cash and others with appreciated assets.
There are many variations, enough so that a giving plan can be tailored to your
needs, desires and capabilities. Although we do not practice estate planning,
we do have a development officer who can work with you. For your protection,
you should consult with your professional advisor(s) before completing any planned
