Giving OpportunitiesHave you noticed St. Cecilia?Stewardship of TreasureQueen of Peace Catholic Community is a Total Stewardship Community. As individual members, we embrace God’s plan for us as stewards of all God has entrusted to our care: the poor, the lonely, the children, the elderly, the lost faithful, and the physical world around us. We dedicate ourselves to sharing the Good News to all we meet and to proclaiming Jesus Christ as our loving Redeemer. We invite our parishioners to joyfully give 10% of their resources to the church. The church in turn gives 10% of our total offertory to charitable and other non-profit organizations. Campaign GivingThanks to the many generous families who have made pledges to our campaigns to build our church and school facilities, we have expanded our physical plant from 13,000 Square feet to over 100,000 Square feet. We are now inviting parishioners to make gifts towards Phase III of our expansion which will include the creation of 6 additional classrooms, an art and science building, youth and senior center which will provide additional space for meetings, adult & child faith formation classes, and much needed classroom space for our Queen of Peace Academy Students. Pledges made to Campaigns are considered extraordinary gifts and are therefore over and above Stewardship giving. To make a pledge, click on the link here. Matching Gift ProgramCompanies sponsor this voluntary program designed to provide participants with an additional incentive to make periodic contributions benefiting eligible organizations of their choosing. Among the eligible educational organizations are private secondary, elementary and pre-elementary schools. Parish Expansion PrayerHow many times do we come to You, Oh Lord? We confess that we have no one else to go to in our times of need. We have discovered that You are light; wisdom; goodness; life itself. Lord, our God, You gave us life and restored it when we lost it. Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for all You have given us. We want to know You, to Love You, and to experience Your love alive in our Community. We thank You for bringing us together and now we ask You to increase our joy (Rm 12:9-21). You have admonished us to bring the children to You (Mk.10:14); Please bless them through our Catholic formation. Help us expand our school and our programs for our children. Grant our youth a healthy, happy, holy and safe place to celebrate Your gifts that they may love You with all their mind and body and soul (Mt. 22:37 -40). And bless our adults with a center for their enrichment and enjoyment so that all may be devoted to the communal life of disciples of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:42 -47). All this, we pray Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit (John 16:24 ) and under the patronage of your Blessed Mother, Our Queen of Peace. Hemos descubierto que Tu eres luz; sabiduria; bondad; la vida misma. Señor, Dios nuestro , Tu nos diste la vida y la restableciste cuando la perdimos. Padre celestial, te alabamos y te damos gracias por todo lo que nos has dado. Queremos conocerte, amarte, y experimentar Tu amor vivo en nuestra comunidad.
