Are you or someone you know
experiencing a time of special need? Perhaps you're experiencing grief for any
number of reasons -- job loss, separation, or loss of a loved one. Are you or
someone you know homebound or sick? These are just some of the reasons who may
want to call a BeFriender.
BeFriender ministers are specially
trained lay persons who are available to offer spiritual and emotional support,
in the name of our church, to people during times of transistion. BeFrienders do
not give advice or judge. The do not take the place of family. BeFrienders take
confidentiality very seriously; they are trained to listen, and they care. They
receive ongoing supervision from the coordinators and from the church staff.

Recently organized ministry to assist and support one another by
sharing experiences, felling and coping processes after the loss of a loved one
through death. Six-week session will be scheduled in the Spring, Fall, and
Winter.

A new ministry team focused on protecting and affirming life
from the womb to natural death. Celebrating life is encompassed in many ways,
some of which include, alternatives to abortion, adoption, single parent
support, child and spousal abuse, eldercare, hospice, disabilities, terminally
ill, etc. More support is needed for this life-giving ministry. If you are

Centering prayer is a method of prayer, traditionally called
contemplative prayer. This prayer facilitates the movement from more active
modes of prayer- verbal, mental or affective prayer - into a reception prayer of
resting in God. It emphasizes prayer as a personal relationship with God.
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month in the St. Patrick's
Reconciliation Room in the Church.

A stewardship based program that is offered in the spring and
fall each year to teach the message of stewardship as it directly relates to the
management of personal finances. As a part of this program participants will
learn about everyday financial planning (Budget Busters) and future financial
planning and investment advice (Planning for Life).

Married couples are invited to this ministry by the Pastor to
assist in preparing engaged couples for the sacrament of marriage. Sponsor
Couples are trained to educate the engaged in a reflective and educational
experience to be creative, versatile, joyful and communicative in their marriage
commitment. Meetings are held every other month on the first Wednesday from
7:00pm to 9:30pm.

Special seminars are held throughout the year for couples to
refresh and refocus on each other.

Opportunity for parents of teenage children to meet with other
parents to discuss mutual problems, explore issues that impact teenagers and
parents in today's society. Watch the Good News Bulletin for dates and times of
meetings.

Landings is a program designed to welcome back Catholics who
have been away from the Church, but are considering returning. The program
consists of eight to ten weekly meetings in a comfortable setting. If you are
searching, or have a friend who is, Landings may be the answer.

A ministry group for anyone dealing with emotional pain. Meets
under the direction of Frieda Springer - BA, Psy.; Willie Robinson - BA; and
Phil Springer - MS.

The services of a certified psychologist at Catholic Charities
are provided for our community members who need assistance with marriage, family
or individual issues. Fees are structured per a sliding scale reflective of a
person's income.
